This Variant of BAE F2000 design was originally ordered by the Royal Brunei Navy as the Nakhoda Ragam class, Built by BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships. Due to a contract dispute, the ships were never commisioned by the Royal Brunei Navy.
The Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) acquired the ships in 2013, and expected to enter service in September 2014.
The Surface to Air Missile (SAM) originally armed by a MBDA Seawolf had to replaced by VL MICA missiles system.
